10. Watching musicals on the bus with everyone—singing along to Hairspray and watching High School Musical for the first time
9. Great laughs with Ms. Jen and Ms. Bethany on the bus and in the hotel hallways! (bird, stop sign, windy roads and more!)
8. Saying good night to everyone in their rooms and doing wake up calls in the morning,
7. The Springfield Museum –I hadn’t been there before but had heard such great things! It was super to see it for myself!
6. Reading and posting the blog entries each night—it was wonderful to read what everyone wrote and how the days’ events were interpreted.
5. Our day in St. Louis—from the mock trial at the Courthouse, to going up in the Arch, to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory and celebrating Katie’s birthday.
4. The reading of Lincoln’s Farewell speech at the Train Depot (followed by our free time in Douglas Park—playing Black Magic with Kelsea, Liz, Monea, Sertira, and Ms. Bethany).
3. How well everyone got along with each on the trip (for the whole week!) and how genuinely interested in Lincoln and learning you were! The questions you asked at each place were outstanding!
2. STAMPS having its own NPS stamp!
1. Taking a trip with my students to the Park sites and being able to share the excitement of learning history in National Parks at historic places!
