KATIE'S 14TH BIRTHDAY!!
Due to our very FULL day and our exhausted state--entries about today will be posted tomorrow. In the meantime, here are a few pictures that highlight our experiences today. We had a blast!

We decorated Katie's bus seat in the a.m. for a little birthday surprise and celebration!
Standing in the Old Courthouse, on the second floor, we learned about the building and its history.
As members of the Dred Scott case, we reenacted the trial in the same area that
his 1850 case was heard in!
On our way to the Arch after lunch.

Here we are taking a photo with Thomas Jefferson in the museum under the arch. The museum highlights Westward Expansion and the story begins with the Louisiana Purchase.
At the top of the Arch---630 feet high!

Touching the top of the arch!
On our way back to the bus with Ms. Diane after a wonderful day in
Jefferson National Memorial Park!

Katie at Grant's Home, holding a history page of "On this Day"---
on this day in 1995 Katie was born!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATIE!!!
